Yale Claims FLTA Award in Ergonomics
Yale Europe Materials Handling is pleased to announce that the MPT Series Rider Pallet Truck has been the named the winner of the Ergonomics category at the 2017 Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) Awards. On hand to collect the award on behalf of Yale was a delighted Mark Stent, Operations Director in the EEC.
This is a first FLTA Award for Yale in the Ergonomics category, having previously won the Environment Award in both 1999 and 2009, and the Safety Award in 2013. In claiming the award, Yale saw off strong competition, in what was a tightly contested category.
The Yale® MPT Series Rider Pallet Truck has been designed to ensure operators of all sizes can find the comfortable positions which can result in greater productivity. An adaptive seat offers sit, lean and stand functionality at the touch of a button, giving operators full freedom of movement, whether for short or long transfers.
Amongst the other key features of the MPT Series are a low step height for easier on-off access, large floor space, solid grab handle, compact chassis for convenient Europallet handling, electronic fly-by-wire steering, clear views and an easily operated butterfly switch that gives control of direction and speed.
After the event, Yale Brand Manager Iain Friar had this to say: “We are thrilled that the Yale MPT Series Rider Pallet Truck has been recognised for its ergonomic design by the FLTA. The Yale development philosophy places the operator at the heart of the design, and we believe the MPT Series is a shining example of this. We are pleased to see that our work to make productivity easier and more efficient for our customers has been successful.”
