Woodland Group expands Jungheinrich fleet following 40% efficiency gains.
Jungheinrich UK has supported its Partner, Armill Lift Trucks, in the rapid delivery of an additional 12 forklift trucks to the expanding Jungheinrich fleet of global freight forwarder, Woodland Group.
“Armill Lift Trucks had just 12 weeks to provide us with the trucks we needed, from our initial request, through to consultation and delivery; I don’t think there are too many other suppliers that could have met that,” says Luke Fermor, Global Fulfilment Manager, Woodland Group. “It’s the level of support from Jungheinrich to Armill Lift Trucks that we know can be relied upon in our endeavour to be at the forefront of innovation and technology.”
The 12 trucks, an all-electric combination of one vertical order picker, four counterbalance trucks, four pallet trucks and one reach truck, will double the existing fleet of Jungheinrich material handling equipment at the Coventry distribution centre, which has already made a big difference to picking rates. “Compared with the previous process we had in place, we can now pick products up to 40 per cent quicker,” explains Luke.
David Dadd, Sales Director, Armill Lift Trucks, comments: “We’re pleased to support Woodland Group in its drive for ever greater efficiencies and customer service. As a Jungheinrich Partner, we can be confident in our consultation to customers and in our ability to work to their exact needs, whatever the challenge or timeframe.”
