Rebecca Smith to bring fresh perspective to UKMHA Board After Exciting Appointment - September 17, 2025
Westexe can lay claim to being the best forklift truck dealer in the business, after being crowned UKMHA Dealer Member of the Year at the prestigious Archies 2025 awards.
The accolade, presented by the UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA) during a glittering ceremony at the IMHX exhibition, recognises outstanding achievement, service and contribution within the material handling sector. For Westexe, it represents the culmination of a great deal of hard work, featuring consistent growth and impressive customer service across the South West and beyond.
Founded in Exeter, Westexe has grown into one of the region’s leading forklift companies and is now recognised nationally within the industry. The company, which employs a team of 70 (including 32 engineers), can reflect on one of its most significant successes since being founded in 2007.
Director Alex Dix said the award was a proud moment for the whole company: “We’re absolutely over the moon to receive this recognition from the UKMHA. It’s a real testament to the hard work of our team, who go above and beyond for our customers every day. To be recognised nationally in such a respected event as the Archies means a huge amount to everyone here at Westexe. We’d like to thank our staff, our customers and our suppliers for playing their part in this success.”
UKMHA CEO Rob Fisher also praised Westexe for their achievement: “Westexe have shown what it means to be a truly outstanding dealer. Their commitment to service and their ability to foster strong partnerships team really do raise the bar for our industry.
“This award is thoroughly deserved, in what was an extremely competitive category. We’ve been aware of Westexe’s high standards and commitment to quality for some time, but our judges were still taken aback at the pride and professionalism they take in their approach to business.
“They are worthy winners of the Dealer Member of the Year award and on behalf of the UKMHA, we congratulate them wholeheartedly.”
