Leading robotic parcel sortation solutions specialist LiBIao Robotics has appointed Black Rhino of Johannesburg as its agent and distribution partner in South Africa for the ‘Mini Yellow’ range of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
A cost-efficient and flexible alternative to fixed tilt-tray and cross-belt conveyor-based sortation systems, LiBiao Robotic’s ‘Mini Yellow’ robots process an estimated two billion parcels each year for some of the world’s best known logistics companies.
LiBiao Robotic’s founder and chief executive, Xia Huiling, commented: “Black Rhino’s focus on delivering outstanding customer service matches our own and we are expecting very good results from our new partnership with the company.”
Black Rhino’s general manager, Mike Zhang, added: “Demand for more efficient and smarter warehouse management is strong in South Africa, where online shopping has been growing at a tremendous pace and driving up the number of parcels handled. We have an excellent opportunity to grow the AMR market and we plan to allocate extensive resources towards establishing the LiBiao Robotics brand and fulfilling its potential throughout South Africa.”
