Douglas Battery™ Takes High-Frequency Modular Charging to a Higher Level at ProMat
Douglas Battery Full Product Line of Batteries and Chargers on Display at ProMat® 2017, Booth 2426
WINSTON-SALEM, NC, March 23, 2017 – Douglas Battery™, a leading manufacturer of batteries and chargers for material handling applications, will showcase its full range of batteries and chargers in booth 2426 at ProMat® 2017, which takes place from April 3 to 6 at McCormick Place in Chicago. LegaC2™ high-frequency modular chargers, the most recent addition to the company’s charging solution portfolio, will be featured.
“Our extensive range of battery and charger products are designed to meet the high power demands of today’s industrial equipment, including forklilfts, walkies and automated guided vehicles,” explained Brian Faust, Douglas Battery general manager. “With the addition of LegaC2™ high-frequency modular chargers to the line up, we can further meet the needs for higher efficiency, flexibility and reliability.”
LegaC2™ modular chargers are suitable for a wide range of battery capacities and are designed to maintain peak efficiency at all times. Due to the modular construction, charger modules can be switched on and off automatically. If a single module develops a minor fault, the charger will bypass it and continue operation at reduced power, resulting in a continued charging process and uninterrupted fleet operations.
In addition to Douglas battery and charger solutions, the Douglas DataTrac™ battery monitoring device will also be featured in booth 2426. The Douglas DataTrac™ device can be installed right on the battery to capture real-time information on a range of battery parameters. This small unit records minute-by-minute data then uploads it to a PC or tablet via Bluetooth. The Douglas DataTrac™ Reporting Suite™ then analyzes and converts the data into easy-to-read reports with actionable information. Armed with such timely data, operators can boost fleet productivity, cut operating costs, manage proper battery utilization and save time.
