Doosan shows strength at UK Construction Week 2019
Doosan, the leading manufacturer of robust high performance forklift trucks, will be exhibiting at UK Construction Week (Build, Stand B479), the UK’s largest built environment event, at the NEC, Birmingham, 8-12 October 2019.
Doosan will be showcasing two leading examples from its extensive range of robust, IC engine and electric powered counterbalance trucks – the 3.0 tonne capacity Doosan D30S-7 four-wheel diesel counterbalance model and the 5.0 tonne Doosan B50X-7 four-wheel electric counterbalance truck. Ideally suited to tough yard duties, both vehicles come with Doosan’s industry leading oil-cooled disc brake system as standard. Manufactured as completely sealed units the system is protected against outside elements, such as water, dust, dirt, shrink wrap and metal banding – ensuring top-rate braking performance, for enhanced safety and increased productivity in the yard.
Doosan has an extensive range of over 200 models of counterbalance, reach and warehouse trucks, with capacities spanning 1.3 to 25 tonne, over power sources of electric, gas and diesel. Everything a construction business or builder’s merchant needs in terms of handling performance to keep materials moving.
David Clarkson, CEO, Doosan Industrial Vehicle UK, says: “The construction sector is one of our strongest industrial markets. We support businesses across a range of applications, from heavy duty handling tasks in harsh environments such as builder’s yards, brick works and construction sites, to busy confined spaces where manoeuvrability, precision and smooth operation are key requirements.”
He adds: “This is an important show for the construction sector and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to engage with businesses on ways of driving productivity and performance in their material handling operations.”
Doosan Industrial Vehicles is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of forklift trucks. As an important part of the $21 billion global Doosan Group – a conglomerate with a 120-year history – the forklift truck division has the extensive resources needed to lead in product design, performance, ergonomics, energy and safety.
