Baumann Names Windsor 2017 Dealer Of The Year.
Italian sideloader manufacturer Baumann has named Windsor Materials Handling as its 2017 UK dealer of the year. The annual award recognises outstanding efforts made in sideloader sales within Baumann’s UK dealer network.
Windsor has a long-standing relationship with Baumann, and was even supplying its products to UK customers prior to the establishment of the UK subsidiary in August 2015. Now an official distributor, Windsor was the highest achieving Baumann sideloader supplier in the UK last year.
Baumann UK managing director, Jason Reynolds, said a strong local presence and an emphasis on personal customer support makes Hull-headquartered Windsor a reliable partner.
“We can always count on Windsor,” said Jason. “In all the time we have worked together, they have always maintained a deep understanding of all manners of lifting and materials handling equipment. Their experience with our products keeps our customers coming back.”
Whilst the size of the UK sideloader market remains relatively modest, the ability of sideloader equipment to carry long loads over greater distances has led to a resurgence in popularity, particularly amongst ports operators, timber, metals and energy businesses. The most recent project was with Caunton Engineering in Nottingham, who ordered three 8 tonne diesel Baumann sideloaders for their structural steelwork business.
With 12 local branches, Windsor Materials Handling is one of the leading independent materials handling suppliers in the UK. Founded on service in 1977, the Windsor name has been synonymous with materials handling and access systems ever since.
Stephen Burton, managing director at Windsor, was proud to be presented with the dealer of the year award. “Our partnerships are really important to us and I’m really pleased that our relationship with Baumann is still going strong,” he said. “As Windsor has developed, we have found an increased need for specialist machinery to handle long and bulky materials such as timber and metals. Our customers recognise Baumann as a market leading sideloader manufacturer.”
Based in Cavaion on the shores of Lake Garda, Baumann is a family-owned company that has led the sector for over 40 years, and now sells its products worldwide through 106 dealers in 76 countries. The 2016 FLTA Innovation award winner produces equipment up to 50 tonnes capacity, and has a reputation for consistent invention and the highest level of design and productivity.
