World premiere of the ETV 216i: The world’s first reach truck with built-in lithium-ion battery.
The most compact truck in its class
Revolutionary ergonomics for maximum support of the operator
Maximum all-round visibility for more safety and productivity in the warehouse
Hamburg: Jungheinrich is presenting the ETV 216i – the first reach truck in the world with standard built-in lithium-ion battery. Jungheinrich consistently used the advantages of this space-saving and efficient battery technology in the development of the truck. Because of this, the ETV 216i has a revolutionary truck design. The latest generation of reach trucks features significantly improved ergonomics. Jungheinrich incorporated its customer’s ideas and requests directly into the design of the truck. Thus, the ETV 216i offers the operator significantly more freedom of movement and perfect all-round visibility. The result is a special level of user-friendliness and maximum safety in the warehouse. Thanks to its especially compact design, the truck features maximum agility in the warehouse. Compared to conventional reach trucks, the ETV 216i achieves significantly increased productivity in the warehouse. Compared to conventional lead-acid batteries, the fully integrated lithium-ion batteries feature a longer service life, maintenance-free operation and better performance. This increases throughput performance and warehouse efficiency. Especially short charge intervals enable 24/7 operation, with the ETV 216i able to stack loads weighing up to 1600 kg to a lift height of 10.7 meters. As with all lithium-ion trucks, Jungheinrich also offers its customers interested in the ETV 216i a 100 per cent satisfaction guarantee on all lithium-ion trucks, starting at the LogiMAT. Within the first six months following the truck’s delivery, Jungheinrich customers have a full conversion right, meaning that they can easily and quickly switch back to their original technology at any time. This is how Jungheinrich ensures an easy and risk-free changeover.
Dr. Lars Brzoska, Member of the Board of Management at Jungheinrich AG responsible for Marketing and Sales, explains: “The new ETV 216i is the latest demonstration of Jungheinrich’s innovative capability. We are the first manufacturer in the industry to consistently implement the advantages of lithium-ion technology already in the design of our trucks. The permanently installed lithium-ion battery makes the ETV 216i the most compact and best performing truck in its class. Jungheinrich customers will benefit from better ergonomics, easier manoeuvrability and greater efficiency. In the future we will also consistently use the advantages of lithium-ion technology in the design concept of other truck types, thereby creating a whole new generation of fork lift trucks.”
