As part of its expansion in to the European market, Korean cosmetics and personal care products giant, Atomy, has appointed Walker Logistics to manage its UK B-2-C online order fulfilment operation.
Atomy employs a new type of multi-level-marketing model to generate sales: in simple terms, Atomy members bring new customers to their shopping platform and any purchases made results in a cash-back reward to the members. This approach has worked exceptionally well in the Far East and across a number of other countries worldwide, including Australia, America and Canada, and is expected to be equally popular among European cosmetics users.
The contract is scheduled to go live early in June and will operate from Walker Logistics’ multi-user fulfilment hub in Berkshire.
Managing director of Atomy UK, Ruth McGrath, said: “When we were choosing a supply chain partner we wanted a family orientated company that shares our values and Walker is a perfect fit. We were also hugely impressed by the quality and care that Walker put in to the fulfilment process to ensure that Atomy members enjoy an exciting unboxing experience.”
Charlie Walker, head of marketing at Walker Logistics, commented: “Atomy is an internationally known brand and we are very happy to be supporting the company as it expands into the UK and the European market.”
Charlie Walker added: “Walker already provide fulfilment services to around a dozen cosmetics companies ranging in size from niche brands through to large household names and our experience in the sector helped us to win Atomy’s business. Logistics will play an important role in helping Atomy to achieve its growth plans and we can’t wait to start working with them.”
