Carousel recognised by John Deere for achieving excellence.
Carousel is delighted to announce it has again been recognised as a Partner-Level Supplier in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. The John Deere Partner Status is the highest rating that can be awarded to suppliers by the internationally distinguished brand.
This is the second time John Deere has commended Carousel in this way, acknowledging the company’s dedication to providing outstanding logistics services, as well as its commitment to continuous improvement.
Carousel’s solution for John Deere ensures that irrespective of size or weight, deliveries get where they need to be on time. This involves collecting from Southern Germany and Langar at 8pm and delivering, often to the very remote extremities of the UK, by 8am the next morning.
Andrew Ovenden, Carousel’s Special Services Director and COO Morton Griffiths flew to Germany to join the manufacturer’s key leaders, at the ‘John Deere 2017 Achieving Excellence Conference’ on 30 March, and collected the award from John Deere’s two vice presidents on behalf of Carousel.
Carousel and John Deere
Carousel has worked with John Deere for six years handling its direct to dealer deliveries in remote areas across the UK and Ireland. During this time, it has delivered consistently high service levels, including exceptional on-time delivery rates and a reduction in average delivery time overall.
Today’s news also follows the extension of a new parts contract between Carousel and John Deere, which was announced last year. This contract utilises Carousel’s By:NIGHT service, and ensures John Deere’s customers get essential parts delivered throughout the night, at agreed specified times.
About the award
Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence Program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement. www.carousel.eu
