Online bike retailer Leisure Lakes Bikes has chosen ArrowXL, the leading two-person delivery company, to handle the delivery of up to 300 bikes per month to customer households across the UK.
Leisure Lakes Bikes chose ArrowXL as their delivery partner because of their efficient diary booking service and delivery option to the customers room (or outbuilding) of choice. Customers will be able to choose the date of their bike delivery and the askAXL tracking web-app allows real time tracking of their order. On the day of delivery, the customer can track the vehicle using the interactive map. The delivery drivers will bring the bike into the customers room of choice, unpack and remove any unwanted packaging.
Set-up back in 1981 by brothers Tim and Chris Noy, Leisure Lakes Bikes started off as a small windsurfing business between Preston & Southport. “When the wind was down, people brought their bikes to go cycling instead” said Tim Noy, Owner of Leisure Lakes Bikes. From there the brothers started selling bikes themselves! They began with a store in Preston & Southport (which they built) and now have 10 locations across the UK and a huge online bike store!
Tim Noy, Senior Director at Leisure Lakes Bikes said: “We were looking for a delivery partner to provide our customers with the ability to choose their own delivery slots. ArrowXL’s diary booking service meant that our customers could take ownership of their delivery options. They also have a great deal of experience with delivering bikes and other exercise equipment so we knew we were in a safe pair of hands.”
Craig Kavanagh, Sales Director at ArrowXL added: “We’re really excited to be working with such a dynamic and exciting company. Cycling in the UK has become a huge phenomenon and is now increasingly accessible to everybody. Leisure Lakes Bikes have opted for our Platinum service which provides their customers with a diary booking service as standard.”
