Industry giants join forces to launch retail supply chain service.
Two of the country’s foremost supply chain specialists have joined forces to create a new end-to-end solution for retail clients.
The Canute Group, a leading retail logistics specialist, have partnered with Core Management Logistics (CML), an expert in retail warehousing and eFulfilment, to launch a new enterprise called TouchPoint.
TouchPoint is a unique service offering importing, exporting, and eCommerce warehousing solutions combined with distribution. This new offering will strip out the need for additional suppliers for technology, eCommerce and warehousing, providing clients with a single point of contact to manage a seamless delivery which is flexible, scalable and adaptable.
The partnership came about when Canute were seeking a specialist warehousing solution for their client, Office Depot. CML supported Canute on this project and both firms realised their combined strengths in flexible distribution and warehousing could create an ideal solution for retail clients.
David Emslie, Group Sales Director at Canute Group, said: “For over a decade, Canute Logistics have pioneered a specialist service in retail logistics and have supported some of the UK’s best known high street brands.”
“We want to ensure that we can offer a comprehensive, straightforward solution for customers at all touch points in the supply chain, so partnering with CML and combining our collective expertise in the retail supply chain is a perfect solution.”
Mark Webb, Managing Director at CML, said: “With our 25 years’ retail experience, including importing, exporting, pre-retailing services, specialist fulfilment and eCommerce capability, the TouchPoint proposition is an exciting one.”
Whilst Canute and CML are continuing their respective operations, TouchPoint will be able to support both company’s retail clients, as well as new clients.
TouchPoint will operate from CML’s Lutterworth site on Magna Business Park, supported by Canute’s 14 depots throughout the UK. www.touchpoint-logistics.co.uk
