Ergo Real Estate’s £25 million high-spec logistics hub in Markham Vale North is now ready to occupy.
Ergo Real Estate, together with NFU Mutual, operating as the joint venture Aver Property Partnership have concluded their development with HBD at Markham Vale North delivering high-quality logistics space to meet the growing demand in the logistics sector. Located just a few minutes from J29a of the M1, this development offers exceptional warehouse space in this established location.
The development known as Orion offers Orion One at 224,424 sq ft and Orion Two at 75,958 sq ft with both having good quality office accommodation with dedicated parking and secure loading facilities.
Orion has strong sustainability credentials and has been constructed to carbon zero building specification, achieving a BREAAM ‘Very Good’ rating. Markham Vale is a partnership between HBD and Derbyshire County Council. A 200-acre business park with direct access to the M1 via a dedicated junction, it is one of the region’s flagship locations and has been a catalyst for the creation of thousands of new jobs.
Leigh Burnett, Asset Manager at Ergo said: “ Orion at Markham Vale North offers to the market two units of quality design logistics space and we are looking forward to working with Burbage Realty and Colliers International to bring two new occupiers to Markham Vale”.
Anthony Clitheroe, Director at HBD, said: “Demand remains robust for top quality industrial space in strategic locations. Demand driven by the pandemic has exacerbated an existing shortage of large, well-located industrial stock so it’s positive to be able to bring almost 300,000 sq. ft. to the market.”
Derbyshire County Council’s Head of Markham Vale, Peter Storey, said: “Reaching this milestone is great news for Markham Vale, which has continued to grow through a very a challenging time.
“We look forward to following the progress of the new buildings and welcoming new businesses to them very soon.”
