With signs of the exhibition industry finally edging out of lockdown, the BCMPA – the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics, has announced its participation in a wide range of industry events to promote the benefits of outsourcing on behalf of its 180+ members.
Even before the pandemic, outsourcing was growing at a prodigious rate, but over the last sixteen months the trend has accelerated to such an extent that the industry is now light years ahead of where it would have been organically. Growth has been seen across all aspects of the supply chain from product concept down to final delivery and the demand for a ‘one-stop-shop’ service has never been greater.
Building on this demand, and subject to Government guidelines, the BCMPA has committed to exhibiting at no fewer than seven shows between September 2021 and March 2022, to highlight the wide variety of 3rd party manufacturing, packing, ecommerce, fulfilment and logistics services available.
New to the programme will be the Internet Retailing/eDelivery EXPO at the NEC Birmingham on 13-14 October, enabling the BCMPA to build on the explosive growth in ecommerce and fulfilment, as well as the increased requirements for white label and private label products. BCMPA member input has proven to be vital for hundreds of brand owners to get their products successfully to market on spec and on time, as well as overcoming the supply chain challenges that have occurred due to the coronavirus pandemic and Brexit. Attending this show will provide an important platform to promote the benefits of outsourcing in the sector.
In addition, the BCMPA will attend food and drink sector show IFE Manufacturing Solutions (formerly IFE Pro2Pac) at ExCel on 21-23 March 2022 for the first time. BCMPA members are at the forefront of fresh ideas and providing alternative packaging formats, meeting fast moving trends for consumers in pursuit of a healthy diet and demand for different packs and retail sizes. This has driven new product development and innovation, not only for food and beverage products but also in the field of vitamins and nutraceuticals, and the services of members and benefits of outsourcing will be highlighted at the show.
Other shows in the schedule are CHEMUK, Packaging Innovations London, Making Pharmaceuticals, Contract Pack & Fulfilment (part of Packaging Innovations at the NEC) and the White Label Expo.
Rodney Steel, BCMPA chief executive said: “Whilst it has been a privilege for the BCMPA to have been instrumental in helping so many brand owners to find outsourcing partners during the pandemic via our free online enquiry form and website search facility, we can’t wait to be meeting people again face-to-face.”
A comprehensive list of forthcoming shows can be found on the Association’s website, including those featuring BCMPA stands and exhibiting members.
