ArrowXL, the UK’s largest and longest established two-person home delivery specialist, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Elaine Williams as Head of Operations in the South. This strategic addition to the leadership team marks an exciting step forward for ArrowXL as they continue to focus on optimising their operations and delivering outstanding service to clients and customers.
Prior to joining ArrowXL, Elaine worked for National Express in a number of operational roles. With a strong track record in training and people development, she is well-prepared to drive operational excellence in the South, facilitating a positive culture with engagement and colleague development at the core.
Luke Barton, COO at ArrowXL said “As our new Southern Head of Operations, Elaine will be responsible for identifying, driving and leading operational change projects to meet future business needs. Her previous experience in people management will make her a valuable addition to ArrowXL.”
Leading and managing the Worcester and Enfield hubs, Elaine will focus on the continuous improvement of the company’s distribution network to ensure that operational plans are in place to achieve strategic objectives.
Commenting on her role, Elaine added: “I was looking for a fast-paced company that aligned with my values and I really liked Arrow’s strategy of eradicating complexity. The culture is warm and positive, and I look forward to working collaboratively with the team to ensure consistency and the sharing of best practice.
“Logistics is ultimately a people business whether you’re moving people or parcels and I will utilise my experience from the passenger transport industry to ensure that operational plans are in place to achieve our objectives.”
