Online fulfilment and supply chain solutions specialist, Walker Logistics, has agreed to be the front-of-shirt sponsor for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club’s (CCC) Talent Pathway teams for the 2022 season.
Gloucestershire’s Talent Pathway was established with the aim of helping the club to identify and recruit the most talented local cricketers at a young age. Once enrolled onto the Talent Pathway the youngsters are professionally coached and nurtured in the hope that they will develop into first class batters or bowlers with the ability to represent the club’s first-11.
Walker Logistics’ logo will be present on all Gloucestershire CCC Talent Pathway team shirts – from the under 10s to the under 18s, as well as the club’s Academy side.
Charlie Walker, Sales & Marketing Director of Walker Logistics and an avid cricket fan himself, said: “We are delighted to sponsor Gloucestershire Cricket’s Talent Pathway and look forward to seeing the best youth players in the county wearing their new shirt during the 2022 season.
“Supporting sport in areas where our clients are based is something that we like to do and partnering with a club that does so much for young people within its community is a huge source of pride for us. So, having recently sponsored the Gloucestershire players Chris Dent and Glenn Phillips, we are very pleased to be supporting the next generation of talented young cricketers.”
Neil Priscott, Commercial and Marketing Director at Gloucestershire Cricket Club said: “This is the first time we’ve ever had a front-of-shirt sponsor for our Talent Pathway teams. It’s because of support from companies like Walker Logistics, that we can offer an exceptional playing programme to the next generation of Gloucestershire cricketing talent.”
Berkshire-based Walker Logistics offers a range of warehousing, fulfilment and distribution solutions to a diverse client base. The company operates from a 250,000 sq ft multi-client facility close to junction14 of the M4 motorway and is currently in the process of adding a 125,000 sq ft extension to its existing unit to help keep pace with the growing demand for its services.
