Retailers gain access to white-glove, two-person delivery services through a single API as demand grows for premium delivery experiences
Scurri, the delivery management platform helping retailers optimise the online delivery and post-purchase experience, has partnered with AIT Home Delivery to bring premium next day, two-person, final mile delivery services into its platform.
The partnership gives retailers selling large, bulky and high value goods access to AIT Home Delivery’s specialist services, including next day, room of choice delivery, assembly, installation and packaging removal through Scurri’s delivery management ecosystem.
Retailers can leverage this new capability to surface available delivery timeslots during checkout. This feature allows customers to select a convenient time to be home for this white-glove service, which is critical for reducing failed first-time delivery attempts and the associated costs for all parties involved. It also removes the need to schedule bookings with customers after purchase. With AIT the full lifecycle can be managed to improve the next day delivery experience: setting the delivery promise by selecting the timeslot, allocating the right service and label, tracking the delivery to keep the customer informed, and providing the customer with details about what to expect.
The move comes as retailers face rising pressure to improve delivery experiences for high-consideration purchases such as furniture, appliances and home fitness equipment, where customer expectations extend beyond doorstep delivery. The partnership reflects growing retailer demand for more sophisticated post-purchase delivery options as delivery experience increasingly influences repeat purchase and customer retention.
By integrating AIT Home Delivery into Scurri’s platform via a single API, retailers can simplify access to specialist, next day home delivery services while reducing operational complexity. Using Scurri’s rules engine, retailers can dynamically allocate deliveries across carriers and service levels, helping match fulfilment options to order type, customer needs and delivery requirements.
The integration also extends Scurri’s branded tracking capabilities into the premium home delivery journey through Scurri Track Plus, giving retailers the ability to provide real-time updates and proactive delivery communications designed to reduce “Where Is My Order?” queries and improve customer confidence.
Samuel Scott, Sales Director UK & Europe,at AIT Home Delivery said, “For furniture, appliances and other high-consideration purchases, the final mile is often the moment that defines the customer’s perception of the brand. By partnering with Scurri, we’re helping retailers to offer specialist home delivery services that will enable a more connected, visible and customer focused post-purchase journey.”
Rory O’Connor, Founder and CEO of Scurri said, “Retailers need parcel delivery options but they also need flexible access to premium fulfilment services that protect the customer experience and build loyalty. This partnership with AIT Home Delivery helps deliver exactly that.”
