Warehouse space strategist, Bis Henderson Space, has appointed contract management specialist Alex Murray to the position of Business Development Manager.
Alex Murray’s appointment is part of the first phase of a recruitment drive to support plans for significant, sustainable growth of the business and will be followed by further appointments. Alex will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, as well as developing and managing a growing supplier base.
Having previously performed senior account management roles at British Airways, Philip Morris International and Culina Logistics, Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Bis Henderson Space. Most recently he was Commercial Director at Moore Technology where he helped solve business issues with smart technologies and for over two years operated his own business, providing interim solutions for account and contract management activities across FMCG, sales, logistics and the supply chain.
Joining Bis Henderson Space, Alex says: “I’m looking forward to further developing Bis Henderson’s extensive network of industry contacts and to making many new prospective clients aware of the exciting opportunities that exist for businesses to develop innovative strategies around procuring flexible warehouse space and cost-efficient inventory deployment.”
Matt Whittaker, Commercial Director at Bis Henderson Space, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Alex to our expanding Space team. I’m confident that his in-depth understanding of contract management will prove to be invaluable in ensuring that the end-to-end integrated solutions that we supply remain industry-leading.” He adds: “It’s critically important to our business that we grow sustainably, without compromising on quality and reliability, and that comes down to having the right people with the right experience in place across the regions.”
As part of its business expansion programme Bis Henderson Space has recently taken on three new Account Managers and is currently looking to recruit a second Business Development Manager.
