Voltloader, the UK’s leading provider of electric haulage, charging network services and site infrastructure, has announced the appointment of two new senior team members. The move aims to support long-term strategic growth ambitions, further expand its service offer and position the business for future funding.
Reinforcing its commitment to expanding leadership expertise and capitalising on growing demand for its zero-emissions HGV transport solutions, Teresa Bristol has joined as Chief Operating Officer (COO), while John Whybrow has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
With extensive experience in the sustainability sector, Bristol has previously held a number of senior leadership roles across the energy and electrification space, including Operations Director at GRIDSERVE and Operations & Maintenance director at Lightsource bp. Having helped to scale complex energy and infrastructure models, her insight and expertise will play a pivotal role in optimising processes and accelerating Voltloader’s future growth trajectory.
Whybrow, who previously led the eHGV programme at GRIDSERVE, brings unmatched knowledge and first-hand expertise in de-risking the transition to clean energy. As part of an illustrious career, Whybrow has held the roles of Managing Director at energy solutions business Electric Horse and Smart Energy Lead at Hitachi Europe, as well as Director-level positions at Accenture and The Carbon Trust.
In their new roles at Voltloader, Whybrow will be responsible for leading the roll-out of the company’s national charging network, while Bristol will oversee daily operations and execute Voltloader’s ambitious growth strategy.
Commenting on the announcement, Dave Rose, Founder and CEO of Voltloader, said: “Our unique, multi-service offering is transforming the way businesses decarbonise their logistics. With demand for practical, sustainable electric haulage solutions stronger than ever, Teresa and John bring exactly the calibre of experience needed to take Voltloader into its next chapter of commercial growth.
“Their extensive expertise across electrification, infrastructure, operations and clean energy will be instrumental in strengthening all three core service offerings and ultimately moving the needle towards decarbonised road freight on a truly national scale.”
