More tickets released as Talent in Logistics Conference sells out.
An additional 120 tickets have been released for the Talent in Logistics Conference 2017 due to popular demand. The initial allocation of 200 free conference tickets was snapped up fast by Managers and Learning and Development (L&D) Professionals in the transport, warehousing and logistics sector looking to improve the skills, training, efficiency and safety in their business.
The free-to-attend conference is set to provide valuable information on the key challenges facing the logistics sector and a forum for discussion around ways to address the skills shortage within the industry. In addition to this CILT (UK) have awarded this event 3 CPD hours.
Over the next 6 years, an estimated 588,000 additional workers will be required to support a growing logistics sector, making it vital for organisations to address skills, training and career progression. Designed to inform and inspire, Talent in Logistics provides an opportunity for Learning and Development Managers, Instructors, Health and Safety Managers, and HR and Training Managers to discuss and find solutions to these issues together.
The annual conference takes place in Telford, West Midlands on 22nd June. With a line-up of free seminars led by expert speakers, it will help organisations to learn how to better procure and deliver training that is right for their people, and their business objectives.
Latest speakers confirmed include Peter Swanson from Dynamix Technology, a visiting Fellow at Cranfield University, who will look at “Discovering your strategy for sales in your training business”, and Abi Smith, from charity Brake, presenting the session “How distracted are your drivers?”. The event also includes speakers from CIPD, National Counter Terrorism Policing, Mentor FLT Training, Mind and Transaid.
Other topics to be addressed will include “The latest developments in legislation, regulation and best practice” for material handling equipment and large goods vehicle driving; “What does logistics look like in the future and how will this impact training?” and “Getting a return for your business from the Apprenticeship Levy”.
A full agenda of 18 conference sessions is available on the Talent in Logistics website.
